Workshop on Vietnamese Linguistics (ISVL-3)

Last weekend (March 17*-19th, 2023) saw the third meeting of the founding group of ISVL (International Scholars of Vietnamese Linguistics), an informal association of linguists interested in various formal aspects of the Vietnamese language, from both synchronic and diachronic perspectives. This year's meeting continued the discussion from ISVL-2, an online workshop organized by Nigel Duffield & Trang Phan, hosted by Konan University in March 2022. In turn, ISVL-2 was follow-up to the original workshop held in April 2021, then hosted by the Harvard-Yenching Institute. In contrast to previous years, this year's workshop will be in hybrid format, involving both on-site and online (Zoom) participation.
